Biography

Huang Hui received a Bachelor of Engineering degree and a Master of Engineering Science in Electrical Engineering from the North China university of Water Resources and Electric Power (NCWU), China in 2006 and 2008 respectively. She joined the NCWU as a faculty member in 2009. She pursued her PhD studies in 2017 and obtained the PhD Degree in Electric Engineering from Xi'an University of Technology. Currently, she is an Associate Professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering, NCWU. She has received funding and grants of nearly RMB 400 thousand, published more than 20 journal papers, authorized 5 patents. She is an active contributor to the professional community. She holds significant roles, including Director of the IEEE PES China Power System Protection and Control Technology Committee (2021) and Council Member of the 7th Electrician Technology Society of Henan Province. She is also a Senior Member of the Chinese Electrical Engineering Society and a member of IEEE. Furthermore, she serves as a regular reviewer for several high-quality journals from leading publishers such as IEEE, IET, and Elsevier. Her research focuses on renewable energy forecasting, grid-integration modeling, optimal planning and operation of power systems, and enhancing the resilience of distribution networks.

Biography

Prof. Hussain Shareef is a distinguished academic and researcher in the field of electrical engineering. He holds a Ph.D. degree from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and has been a professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering at United Arab Emirates University. His research focuses on power system planning, integration of renewable power sources, application of AI techniques in power systems, energy management, power quality, and electric vehicle grid integration. Prof. Shareef has published over 400 peer-reviewed journal articles and has received numerous awards, including the UAE University Award for Excellence in Scholarship and the Chancellor Innovation Award. He is also recognized as one of the world's top 2% scientists by Stanford University.
