Dr. Wardiah Binti Mohd Dahalan

Wardiah Binti Mohd Dahalan received PhD degree from the University Malaya in Power System.
Currently, she is a Senior Lecturer and head of research and innovation in University Kuala Lumpur.
She completed BSc degree from the University of Dundee, United Kingdom in 1996 and
MSc degree from University Utara Malaysia, Malaysia in 2004. Her current research interest is Optimization,
renewable energy etc.

Hasmaini Mohamad received the B.Eng., M.Eng., and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Malaya,
in 1999, 2004, and 2013, respectively. She started her career as a lecturer in Universiti Teknologi MARA in 2003
where she is currently an Associate Professor at the Centre for Electrical Power Engineering Studies,
Faculty of Electrical Engineering. Apart from that, she has published more than
50 journal papers including high impact ISI journals and 20 conference papers.
Her major research interest includes islanding operation of distributed generation,
hydro generation, load sharing technique, electric vehicle charging scheduling and load shedding scheme.

He has joined as Senior Lecturer in Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Malaysia in 2013.
He received B.Sc. degree from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Malaysia in 2008 and
master degree from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Malaysia, in 2010. Dr. Jasrul has been
awarded Royal Education Award (2008), Academic Excellence Award (2010), Chancellor Award (2013).

Dr. Sam Koohikamali

Sam Koohi-Kamali Received Masters And PhD Degree In Electrical Engineering From the
University Of Malaya In 2011 And 2015, Respectively. He Collaborated With
Um Power Energy Dedicated Advanced Centre (Umpedac) As Postdoctoral Research Fellow Between 2015 And 2018.
He joined Schneider Electric Of Canada In 2018 As Automation And Protection Specialist.
During That Time, He Managed Several Projects Including Substation Automation Commissioning In
Fielded Of Transportation, Marine, And Utility. In 2020, He Joined Tetra Tech Canada As Senior Technical Specialist.
He Is Senior Member Of Ieee In Toronto Canada Chapter. He Is Also Serving As
Recognized Reviewer In Several International Journals. His Research Interests Include Control Of
Distribution Generation, Microgrid Protection And Load And Generation Forecasting.

building management system (BMS), Lighting design, earthing system design,
corrosion mitigation design (cathodic protection),20 kV to 400 v substation design,  
electrical supervision of Installation and commissioning in urban, railway, oil and gas industry based fields.

Shivashankar Sukumar finished his PhD in the year 2017 and is
currently working as Post Doctoral Research Fellow (PDRF) at Indian
Institute of Technology (IIT) in Gandhinagar, India. He works for the project called
“Efficient Coupling of Water and Energy Technologies (ECOWET)” funded by
Dept. of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India (GoI), where his focus is to optimize the
operation of sewage and water treatment plants at smart cities by development and deployment of
advanced machine learning and optimization algorithms. His area of interest is development and
deployment of machine learning algorithms for process improvement, process automation, product development, and energy analytics.

Dr. Norazliani Md. Sapari

Norazliani Md. Sapari received the B.Eng. (Hons.) degree in electrical engineering and
the M.Eng. degree in power engineering from University Technology Malaysia, in 2008,
and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Malaya, Malaysia,
in 2018. She is currently a Senior Lecturer with the Faculty of Information Science and
Engineering, Management and Science University. Her research interests include under-frequency
load shedding scheme in islanded distribution networks, voltage stability, and photovoltaic systems.

Ola Subhi Badran received PhD degree from the University of Malaya in power system in 2018.
Currently, she is an Assistant Professor in Palestine Technical University_ Kadoorie, Palestine.

2018 under topic of "Optimal Charging Coordination of Plug-In Electric
Vehicle incorporating Capacitor and OLTC Operation". He graduted his

Dr. Munir Azam Muhammad

Dr. Munir Azam Muhammad received PhD degree from the University Malaya in
Power System in 2020. He received M.E. degree in Industrial Electronics from N.E.D University,
Pakistan, in 2013 and B.E. degree in electronic engineering from Hamdard University in 2010.
He served Iqra University as Lecturer  and have experience of working in industry for
more than 5 years. He specialization in Industrial Automation, Internet of Things.
His research interests include IOT, distribution automation, load shedding, distributed
generation and development of optimization strategies for a smart grid.

Mohamad Norshahrani Abdul Rahim received PhD degree from the University Malaya in
Power System in 2020. He received the B.Eng. and M.Eng. degrees in electrical engineering
from University Technology MARA and University of Malaya (UM), Malaysia in 2003 and
2012 respectively. He has 16 years of consulting experience. Currently he is a Senior
Electrical Engineer in Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency Unit, Public Works
Department, Ministry of Works, Malaysia. His current research interests include
power system protection, distribution automation and renewable energy.
He is a Practicing Professional Engineer in Malaysia.

Dr. Mohammad Al Samman was born in Damascus, Syria in 1990.
He received the B.Eng. degree electrical engineering from Damascus University, Syria, in 2012,
the M.Eng.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Malaya (UM),
in 2015 and 2020, respectively. His current research interests include distribution system planning
