On 21 February 2019, Prof Hazlie attended a research meeting hosted by Prof. Li Wang from National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Taiwan. This meeting was fully sponsored by NCKU under Prof. Li Wang research grant. During this meeting, Prof. Hazlie had presented UMPES research works related to resilience in distribution system. The main focus is on how to make the distribution system more resilience towards low probability event but high impact such as flood, storm and earthquake. Following this presentation, an attractive discussion was taken place where Prof. Li Wang research group were asking questions and exchanges their ideas on research.
This long collaboration works was started back in 2014 under Southeast and South Asia and Taiwan Universities (SATU) President’s Forum Joint Research Scheme plan. So far three visit and meeting in NCKU had been conducted in 22 Sept 2014, 20 Sept 2017 and most recent in 21 February 2019. From this collaboration, two joint research grant of SATU have been obtained with few joint research papers also have been successfully published.
