Gorges Dam and Chongqing University, China

Prof. Hazlie under IEEE Power & Energy Society Malaysia program had visited three Gorges dam on 28 April and Chongqing University on 30 April 2019.

Three Gorges Dam is the largest hydroelectric dam in the world with the capacity of 22,500 MW. It is located on the Yangtze River close to Sandouping town, in Hubei province in China. 

In Chongqing University, the IEEE PES team visited Power and Energy Reliability Research Center and The State Key Laboratory of Power Transmission Equipment & System Security and New Technology.
This laboratory focusing on high voltage area and the research center focusing on reliability aspect of power system, power electronic and machine.
